Hello, all of you awesome people who visit my website.

After a hiatus, I’m back to the blog and the website. For those who have been wondering where I have gone, I’ve been in Brooklyn, NY, living the life, filling the well, and collaborating with some incredible musicians out here. I regret not keeping my personal site updated with all the information about past performances… however, here are some highlights and future dates:

Singing with the Joshua Davis Group. This composer/bassist has a knack for integrating contemporary popular songs into his own angular, imaginative original jazz music.  We will be traveling to Central Pennsylvania on November 19th and 20th and to Boston on November 23rd and 24th.

Performing with longtime friend and musical collaborator, bassist Maeve Royce. In the past few months, I’ve been given the opportunity to play both my and her original compositions alongside other talented musicians in Baltimore, MD at two wonderful venues for contemporary jazz music, Joe Squared and An die Musik Live!

Every Tuesday I have been performing at Kaz an Nou in Brooklyn, NY with Mike Gamble (guitar) and Conor Elmes (percussion) of the supertrio, the Inbetweens. Through the weeks, we have been cooking up a mix of Brazilian music, original jazz and classic soul. While they are on tour in Europe for the month of November, I’ll be playing duet with guitarist Cameron Mizell.

Coming up in December:

I’ll be singing on the 4th at the Jazzschool in Berkeley, CA with Maya Kronfeld, piano, Kai Eckhardt, bass and Conor Elmes, drums.

I’ll be singing on the 8th at the Blue Whale in Los Angeles, CA with Vardan Ovsepian, piano, Ryan McGillicuddy, bass, and Zach Harmon, drums.

I can’t tell you how much it means to me to be playing with each quartet. So much musicality and vibrant spirit from each player, I’ve been blessed to have run into each of these individuals at different times in my life and am happy to have them playing my original music at this present junction.

The two nights will be featuring music from my debut album, as well as newer compositions that are contenders for my next studio album (!) We will also be performing some of Maya’s music (in Berkeley) and some of Vardan’s music (in Los Angeles). I hope to see your darling faces at one of the shows.

For more information on the shows mentioned above, plus a couple other events this fall with other groups, keep reading!

All love,

Natalie
